1. Starting in 2005, the WSOP began the World Series of Poker Circuit, a satellite series held at Harrah's-owned properties in the United States. In addition to the $10,000 buy-in tournament at each site.
2. The Buy-In refers to the amount of money required to play in a particular poker game. In tournaments this is the cost to enter that goes to prize pool as well as the rake earned by the casino.

Misdeals

• The following circumstances cause a misdeal, provided attention is called to the error before two players have acted on their hands. (If two players have acted in turn, the deal must be played to conclusion, as explained in rule #2)
• The first or second card of the hand has been dealt faceup or exposed through dealer error.
• Two or more cards have been exposed by the dealer.
• Two or more boxed cards (improperly faced cards) are found.
• Two or more extra cards have been dealt in the starting hands of a game.
• An incorrect number of cards has been dealt to a player, except the top card may be dealt if it goes to the player in proper sequence.
• Any card has been dealt out of the proper sequence (except an exposed card may be replaced by the burncard without such action causing a misdeal).
• The button was out of position.
• The first card was dealt to the wrong position.
• Cards have been dealt to an empty seat or a player not entitled to a hand.
• A player has been dealt out who is entitled to a hand. This player must be present at the table or have posted a blind or ante.
• Action is considered to occur in stud games when two players after the forced bet have acted on their hands. In button games, action is considered to occur when two players after the blinds have acted on their hands. Once action occurs, a misdeal can no longer be declared. The hand is played to conclusion and no money is returned to any player whose hand is fouled.

In Limit Poker, the minimum buy-in is equal to 10-times the big blind. There is no maximum buy-in. For example, in a $5/10-limit game, the big blind value is $5, so the minimum buy-in is equivalent to 10 x.

You can buy into upcoming events using the following methods:

For EPT Sochi, players wishing to register using cash should first purchase chips and then buy-in using chips at the registration desk.

COM/EU Stars Account holders can buy-in before an event by going to the ‘Events’ > 'Live' lobby in the game client. Online registration will be available from around six weeks before an event until the end of late registration for the respective event. There is no need to visit the Registrations Desk onsite if you register online – just head straight to the Ticket Collection Desk.

Casinos will accept credit and debit card payments, either directly for tournament registration, or to purchase chips from the casino cage. Casinos will only accept nominative cards, and there maybe restrictions on what cards are accepted.

For EPT Barcelona, the Casino will offer an online buy-in page via their website. This is not offered for other EPT events. You can register via the casino's website here.

Casinos will offer a wire transfer service, and players can transfer funds to the venue for cash games and tournament registrations. Contact our Registrations Team for further information.

General Information

• Registration desks will be clearly signposted at each event.
• Registration desk will open daily, from one hour before the start of the first tournament of a given day. Main and National events will open two hours before. Registration desks will stay open until the late registration period for that day's last tournament has ended.*
• Registration hours for specific tournaments are listed on all tournament schedules.
• Pre-registered players can collect tournament tickets from the Ticket Collection Desk once each tournament's registration has opened.

• Unregistration is not permitted after tournament start times, and buy-in funds will be added to the overall prize pool.
• Buy-ins are only accepted through one payment method. For example, you cannot buy in to a tournament with part cash and part Stars Account.
